Santiváñez lies again: Mininter and PNP are in charge of placing Nicanor Boluarte on the list of the most wanted

Nicanor Boluartebrother of the current president of the Republic, has been in hiding for more than 50 days, after the Judiciary ordered preventive detention against him for the alleged crimes of influence peddling and criminal organization. This would be enough to belong to the most wanted list, however, the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñezhas stated that the inclusion of Nicanor would depend on the Judiciary and the Public Ministry.

“Inclusion on the most wanted list does not depend on the Minister of the Interior, nor on the Commander General. It is on a specialized commission that is based on a request from the Public Ministry and of Judiciary“he expressed. He added that the aforementioned commission would not be made up of any ministerial official. This would be totally false and would show that Santiváñez would not know how his own portfolio works.

Days before, Gustavo Adrianzén was consulted about the same, who, unlike Santiváñez, expressed that it would be the responsibility of the Ministry of the Interior and the National Police of Peru.

“We do not personalize this work (the inclusion of a person on the most wanted list). We understand that theNational Police of Peruand theHome OfficeThey dictate policies at the national level so that this is carried out not thinking about a particular person, but about all those who find themselves in this condition,” said Adrianzén.

In this regard, La República spoke with General Eduardo Pérez, who explained that what Santiváñez said is unfounded, since the commission he mentions in his statement is chaired by the Vice Minister of Internal Order of the Ministry of the Interior, Cesar Wilman Guardia Vásquez; and is made up of the director of Economy of the National Police and the director of Planning of the PNP.

Likewise, he specified that the money intended for the reward of a fugitive from justice is allocated from the PNP budget, not from the Ministry of the Interior. “Any civilian who has information about the whereabouts of a requester, calls the Ministry of the Interior, provides the data and if the data is correct, the entity will give him a code so that he can request the reward through a document signed by the members of the commission. “Perez explained.

Along these lines, the Public Ministry or the Judiciary do not designate money that corresponds to the internal sector for rewards. “The Judiciary only has the function of applying criminal sanctions, but it cannot order that money be allocated for rewards,” he stated.
