Santiago, – The Mayor of Santiago, Ulises Rodríguez, received this Tuesday Milton Morrison, director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (INTRANT), and Ricardo Fondeur, president of the Council for the Strategic Development of Santiago (CDES).
The meeting addressed mobility and traffic issues affecting the city, highlighting the importance of effective coordination between local authorities.
Heading the meeting, the mayor said that this is part of the efforts to foster good relations and coordinate actions that benefit the community and resolve the problems that affect them.
“We discussed the problem of traffic in Santiago, and I consider that it was a very productive meeting. Soon, we will share more details about the agreements reached, which will undoubtedly bring great benefits to our city,” said Rodríguez.
Milton Morrison, director of INTRANT, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to the Mayor’s Office and other authorities involved in improving traffic in Santiago.
“We will work very closely with the mayor and other institutions. The mayor will soon announce a series of measures that will be implemented, including an important agreement between our entities, which reflects Santiago’s great desire to improve its mobility,” Morrison stressed.
Meanwhile, Ricardo Fondeur, president of the CDES, thanked the mayor for his invitation and highlighted the importance of this agreement, stating that it is essential that we all work together to improve mobility in Santiago.
“This effort cannot be carried out by INTRANT or the Mayor’s Office alone; we need the active participation of all citizens to achieve an orderly city that serves as an example for the entire country,” concluded Fondeur.
