The banquera added that when meeting with President Claudia Sheinbaum highlighted the interest that the Bank has to finance the infrastructure projects that the Government plans through the Mexico Plan.
On the threat of tariffs to Mexico, Botín considers that although these will be negative for the growth of the global economy, Mexico has better prospects to overcome the crisis.
He explained that the Bank globally has financed other infrastructure projects such as in Nieva Zealand.
OpenBank now available for all users
Those interested can already have access to the application as of this Tuesday through a debit account that offers yields of 10% without minimal balances or commissions.
Users of this digital bank will be able to use the Santander ATM network to make withdrawals and income of money.
In addition, with the credit card, the bank offers 3% cashback in online purchases and with the possibility of defering them three months without interest.
By the end of this year, OpenBank customers in Mexico and the United States are expected to send money immediately.
