The Comptroller General of the Republic, Felix Antonio Santana Garciaurged the Chamber of Deputies to approve the Trust Law that has been demonized by the legislators and politicians of the main opposition parties, causing commotion and doubts in the Dominican people under the argument that this only favors the private sector, when it is something that has been executed indiscriminately in previous governments and that this Government wants to regulate.

Santana García, former Director General of Government Accounting (Digecog), said that very far from these allegations the administration of the president Luis Abinader It is focused on achieving greater well-being for all its citizens and that is why it is interested in doing things with greater transparency through Congress, so that all agreements with the private sector are regularized and supervised by the Comptroller General.

“With said regulatory approval, the purchases and contracts that are carried out from now on will be subject to Law 340-06 on Purchases and Contracts, to the Chamber of Accounts and to the Superintendencies of Banks and Stock Markets of the Republic Dominican,” he said.
