The confessed infanticide, Ruddy Yáñez Villavicencio, 33, he received his third sentence this Tuesday. He was sentenced to 13 years and four months for the crime of attempted rape that he committed against a minor under 14 years of age in 2017.
This third sentence that Ruddy receives is for the first illegal act he committed, for which was declared in absentia by justice, since he was released from prison with substitute measures and later did not appear to assume his defense in the criminal proceedings.
“This crime was committed in 2017, when in a place far from Santa Fe (belonging to the municipality of San Carlos), this man sees a teenager, approaches her, threatens her with a knife and pushes her into the bush. Then she tells him that if she screams, he’s going to kill her, but just then a sports motorcycle passes (by the place) and the girl escapes from her. While Ruddy fled,” reported Egberto Ledezma, advisor to the San Carlos Ombudsman for Children and Adolescents.
This day, the defendant virtually connected to his audience of abbreviated procedure from the La Paz Chonchocoro prison and declared himself the author of the crime of attempted rape, for which the Buena Vista Sentencing Court sentenced him to 13 years with four months in prison.
The second conviction Ruddy received was for the crime of sexual abuse that he committed in the municipality of Yapacaní, in 2021. This sentence was 15 years in prison and was issued by justice on June 23.
In this other case, Ruddy tricked a 10-year-old girl by telling her he would deliver metal and plastics for recycling and took her to a little-traveled area of Yapacaní. At the scene, the sentenced man jumped on her minor, but she kicked him between her legs and she managed to escape from her until she asked the neighbors for help.
While on June 22, the court issued the first sentence against Ruddy Yáñez Villavicencio to 30 years in prisonno, without the right to pardon, for the crime of infanticide. In this case, he raped and suffocated a 9-year-old boy, whom he lured into a vacant lot in Santa Fe.
The boy was reported missing on June 16. and he was found lifeless on the night of Wednesday, June 21, in a vacant lot, after the capture of the perpetrator of the crime.
