Some 300 athletes will compete from this Friday to Sunday in the third National Karate Grand Prix in Santa Cruz, where there will be a financial prize for the Senior category and the selection for the Bolivarian Games of the Bicentennial in Ayacucho will be formed.
“We have nearly 300 athletes registered from different departments. There are categories of Children, Cadets, Junior and Seniors. For this version, in Seniors for women and men, it will be Open, that is, without weight, it is a free category,” explained Kjarol Herrera, president of the Bolivian Karate Federation (Feboka).
Those in the Senior category will have the incentive that the winner of both branches He will win a financial prize of 700 bolivianos.
The event will take place at the Santa Rosita Polygymnasium, where there will be the modalities of Kata (forms) and Kumite (combat).
“On Friday we will carry out the Tope to consolidate the Bolivia team facing the Bolivarian Bicentennial Games in Ayacucho. Athletes have been called in the different categories so that the classification of a single athlete in each of the enabled categories is carried out under the round robin system (all against all), ”said Herrera.
This multi-sports event, which will have the participation of Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Bolivia and Peruwill run from November 27 to December 8.
