Santa Cruz students become the youngest jurors of a national robotics contest

The Santa Cruz brothers Yu Long Ricardo and Yulin Jorge Wang Jallaza, 16 and 18, respectively, became the youngest jurors of the ‘First National Open Robotics Championship 2024 Heading to the Bicentennial – Sucre Bot’, in which they also They received recognition for their outstanding career.

Andrés Porcel, from the Sucre Robotics Club, which organized the event, highlighted the participation of the students of Santa Cruz, who were invited through the Autonomous Municipal Government of Sucre, which also supported the holding of this robotics contest.

“We have had as head judges two great people, competitors and lovers of robotics who develop a lot of technology within the country, which are Ricardo and Jorge Wang, who have been at the head of all the juries and have rated the projects,” he commented.

This national event was not only sponsored by the Mayor’s Office of Sucre, but also by private companies and welcomed students from all over the country, who competed in different categories for gold, silver and bronze medals.

“This experience has been very enriching for us, because not only have we evaluated all the works, but we we have contributed with our experience and knowledge to the teenagers and children who participated with great enthusiasm in the national robotics contest,” Yulin Jorge Wang told EL DEBER.

In this contest that took place in Sucre on the weekend fYu Long Ricardo and Yulin Jorge were recognized by the Mayor’s Office of Sucre and the Robotics Club for their “valuable contribution” to robotics in the country.

In addition, the Wang brothers were also judges in the departmental robotics competition that is organized by the Departmental Directorate of Education and at the same time named ‘extraordinary talents’ by the Ministry of Education from Bolivia.

Both brothers and students from Santa Cruz were recognized for their national and international career, since they won world robotics tournamentsepresenting Bolivia.
