In a single day, 113 new cases of covid-19 have been registered in the department of Santa Cruz, according to data released this Sunday by the Departmental Health Service, dependent on the Government. The authorities They ask not to relax biosecurity measures or the immunization schedule.

According to the reportof the 113 patients who tested positive, 111 live in the capital of Santa Cruz and two in the provinces. They also indicate that 21 people have recovered and that, fortunately, no deaths have been recorded from this disease.

A few days ago, the health authorities indicated that it is not yet possible to speak of a sixth wave of cases. What they did affirm is that biosecurity measures should be reinforced and the vaccination scheme should not be neglected.

Edil Toledo, Secretary of Health of the Government, maintained that “the battle against covid-19 is not over, infections are on the rise, I don’t want to talk about a sixth wave, but the cases are rising. You have to go to the vaccination centers, the vaccine is the only way to avoid complications of this disease, ”said the professional.

The coronavirus vaccine is available in the health centers of the public system.
