La Paz ranked first in revenue collection of the Internal Market (IM) by department as of July 2024, with a contribution of 40.9% of the national total collected by the Tax Administration, followed by Santa Cruz with 38% and Cochabamba with 10.9%, reported the president of the National Tax Service (SIN), Mario Cazón.
Cazón highlighted that La Paz has generated an accumulated collection, as of July 2024, of Bs 8,780 million from the Domestic Marketan amount that represents 40.9% of the total collection, “congratulations to the inhabitants of this department: first place in collection in our country,” he said.
In amounts, The contribution of Santa Cruz to the collection of MI was Bs 8,147 million (38% participation) and Cochabamba, Bs 2,344.5 million (10.9%), both as of July 2024.
“We know that the largest amount of the population is concentrated in these three departments. from Bolivia, therefore, there is also industry, commerce, agricultural production, economic activities that contribute to the collection of the Internal Market,” said Cazón.
Potosí’s tax contribution reached Bs 990.7 millionan amount that represents 4.6% of total revenue.
MI’s collection In Chuquisaca it reached Bs 419.4 million, which represents a 2% share of the total.
Taxpayers of Tarija paid Bs 327.6 million, figure that is equal to 1.5% of the total share.
While, Oruro contributed Bs 275.4 million (1.3%), Beni with Bs 152.5 million (0.7%) and Pando with Bs 19.5 million (0.1% of the total collected).
