Santa Cruz has already discharged two of the three positive cases of hantavirus and has 17 suspected cases

Until epidemiological week 32, Santa Cruz registers three cases of hantavirus, according to Dagner Montalván, responsible for the Hantavirus program at Headquarters. Of these patients, two were discharged and one remains hospitalized at the San Juan de Dios hospitalin the Internal Medicine service.

Montalván indicated that the cases were reported in the municipalities of San Julián, Concepción and Postrervalle, where epidemiological surveillance is currently being carried out to determine if there are new infections. At the moment there are 17 suspected cases of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.
