The department of Santa Cruz is preparing for a weekend with cold mornings and warm sunsetsaccording to the data provided by the Departmental Agricultural Information System (SIC).
According to the report, the winds are expected to change direction from south to north on Sunday afternoon. Skies will be mostly clear and no rain is expected, resulting in a rising temperatures throughout the crossroads.
In the Santa Cruz Valleys, a maximum temperature of 20°C and a minimum of 5°C are expected. In Chiquitania, temperatures will oscillate between 10°C and 24°C, while in the rest of the provinces there will be minimums of 10°C and maximums of 23°C.
“We have experienced a week with low temperatures, snowfall and frost in various parts of the department (…). By the beginning of next week, we expect a slight increase in temperatures”, said Rosio Medina, spokesperson for the SIC.
In this sense, the winds are expected to continue blowing from the north with gusts of up to 65 km/h and clear skies. However, towards the end of the week, a change in the direction of the wind to the south (on Thursday the 22nd and Friday the 23rd), which will cause cloudy skies and a slight chance of rain.
The temperatures forecast for next week will be minimums of 10°C and maximums of 26°C in the Santa Cruz Valleys, minimums of 16°C and maximums of 30°C in the Chiquitania, and minimums of 16°C and maximums of 27°C in the rest of the provinces. Overall, mild weather is expected to prevail for most of the week.
