The air quality in Santa Cruz improved this Thursday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 36 points, which is considered “good”, according to the latest report from the Mayor’s Office. This improvement coincides with the decrease in temperatures and the forecast of light rains issued by the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi).
The municipal report indicates that “you can do outdoor activities”in contrast to the previous days, when it was asked to avoid going out due to the dense layer of smoke that affected the city.
On Tuesday, the air quality was “extremely poor”, with an AQI of 372 points, and on Wednesday it dropped to 133, but was still “poor”.

Active fires
