Caraballo pointed out that there are still issues to be resolved in Palmira. “Negotiations are underway with the consortium because aspects that were not initially contemplated are being incorporated,” he indicated. Among those points he mentioned “the solution for the sanitation of the PIAI neighborhood, environmental procedures and the installation of a modular plant.”
As detailed, the project includes the quote for that plant and the definition of the property where it will be installed, stages that must be resolved before the start of laying pipes in the city. “It is a project that is in process and, in turn, in cost negotiation with the consortium,” he remarked.
These technical and administrative definitions explain the deferral of Nueva Palmira with respect to the “schedule established as of March in other locations in the department.”
It should be noted that the inclusion of the PIAI is at the initiative of the Municipal Council.
