The progress of sanitation works that depend on the regional governments shows that there is a serious lack of execution of resources, according to data as of February 12 from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
The sanitation works that depend on the regional governments demonstrate that in the majority of regions the resources are not being executed.
Proof of this is that there are 19 regions where the progress of investment projects in this area does not even reach 1%.
Although it is known that the new regional and municipal administrations tend to present a slow progress in their first months of administration, there are some that still maintain a 0% expense.
Examples of this are the regional governments of Áncash, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Callao, Huancavelica, Ica and Junín.
Lima (provinces), Loreto, Madre de Dios, Pasco, Piura, Puno and Tumbes are not spared either.
REGIONS ADVANCING
Despite the short period of being installed, a small group of regional administrations does show progress in the execution of projects, such as Tacna (12.9%) and Ucayali (11.7%) in the lead.
They are followed by San Martín (9.5%) and Arequipa (8.4%).
To a lesser extent, but with at least a minimum level of spending, are Amazonas (1.7%) and La Libertad (1%).
