The former president of the Republic, Dr. Julio María Sanguinetti, will receive this Thursday, in Tucumán (Argentina), the Alberdi Award, “for his courageous defense of freedom.” This distinction, awarded by the Federalism and Liberty Foundation, chaired by Dr. José Guillermo Godoy, was proposed in 2021 by the renowned Argentine sociologist, literary critic and philosopher Juan José Sebreli, a member of the Foundation’s Academic Council. The Alberdi Prize is awarded annually to a personality who represents the democratic values that inspire the Foundation.
