Sandra Quiñónez, state attorney general, was summoned last Wednesday for a reserved session with Congress. The call came after some comments by Quiñónez where she blamed Parliament for not approving budget increases that would allow prosecutors to have greater security.
However, after a note, the attorney general requested the postponement of the meeting because he had contact with a person with Covid-19 (prosecutor Alicia Sapriza). Faced with this situation, the board of directors of the Senate decided to reconvene it on a date yet to be defined.
“She had alleged to have been in contact with a person with a picture of Covid-19. However, we recently saw her in an act so there is a contradiction. We are going to ask the questions corresponding to the administrative and about the security protocols that the prosecutors have, ”said Jorge Querey, national senator for the Guasu Front at the end of the meeting.
