According to the document distributed through the Sandinista propaganda media, the Public Ministry adds that “formal charges have been filed against the subjects: Gustavo Antonio Zapata; Ernesto Rafael Paredes Perez; Christian Eduardo Bermudez Roque; Jose Antonio Bermudez Sobalvarro; Isaiah Alejandro Bonilla Chamorro, Frank Eduardo Matus Rodriguez, and Rigoberto Jose Ramos, for being co-authors of the crime of ROBBERY of the Nicaraguan population, in the form of the crimes of Fraud, Misappropriation of Public Funds and Third-Party Benefit».
According to the details of the Prosecutor’s report, the evidence presented to the court, controlled entirely by the dictatorial couple composed of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, “revealed that the co-defendants, taking advantage of their positions in public entities, They appropriated funds from the national treasury, intended for granting loans to producers, entrepreneurs, and small business owners in the urban and rural sectors, which were aimed at improving the quality and competitiveness of their products.
The Prosecutor’s Office adds that “to achieve their goals, the co-defendants devised a plot criminal, In which each one, according to the functions they performed, used confidential information from the credit applicants, to make them believe that they were financing their entrepreneurial ventures; when in reality, the disbursements were for relatives and close friends of these co-defendants.

According to a publication of the media Confidential, On August 27, these eight people who are now accused by the Prosecutor’s Office, were in a WhatsApp group, which was identified as “La Comuna”, in which they shared political comments with Carlos Fonseca Terán, son of the founder of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) Carlos Fonseca Amador.

Of the eight defendants, those who worked at Mefcca were Ernesto Paredes Pérez, Gustavo Zapata and Isaías Bonilla Chamorro.

Upon his return, he worked at the Central Bank of Nicaragua until December 2023, when he was fired, and then went to work at the Ministry of Family, Community, Cooperative and Associative Economy (Mefcca).
Frank Matus. He studied abroad. He taught Economics at UNAN-Managua, where he had worked for about ten years.
Rigoberto Ramos Mora. Son of an official of the Nicaraguan Social Security Institute (INSS) and a member of the Sandinista Business Network. He earned a master’s degree in Colombia.
Christian Eduardo Bermudez Roque. A comedian known among young university students, he taught at UNAN-Managua. As a comedian, he appeared with three other colleagues in bars and fairs, making pro-Sandinista political satires.
Alejandro Taleno Rueda. A lawyer, he worked in the Judiciary and was fired when the Supreme Court of Justice was swept away. He was close to Arlen Yaosca Cuadra, wife of Carlos Fonseca Terán, and they worked together in the same labor court.
