San Miguelito down in crimes of homicide and theft

According to figures from the Integrated System of Criminal Statistics (SIEC), in the district of San Miguelito, so far in 2022 there have been 17 fewer homicides than in the same period last year.

According to these figures, in the month of June 2021, 52 homicides were committed, while for the same period in 2022, 35 were recorded.

Likewise, the number of robberies has decreased compared to last year, when there were 151 robberies, while in 2022 there have been 80, that is, a difference of 71 fewer robberies.
Injury stats also went down; It is noteworthy that until the month of July of last year, 151 people were injured, while so far this year, there have been 80 people injured, with a decrease of 17 cases.

In the crime of theft, comparative statistics indicate that in 2022 there have been 59 cases, three less than in the same period, corresponding to the first seven months of last year, where there were 62 cases of theft.

These results occur within the framework of Operation Alfil, attached to the Joining Forces Plan, an initiative of the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, which seeks to guarantee security and peace for Panamanians.
