San Martín: They intervene on an inmate who was hiding a bag of drugs in his mouth in Juanjuí prison

Penitentiary agents from the Juanjuí prison, in the San Martín region, intervened on inmate Mas Anthony Calvo Pinedo during a surprise operation, after detecting his nervous attitude while an inspection was being carried out in medium-security pavilion 2.

The inmate tried to avoid the search, but finally expelled a plastic wrapper from his mouth that It contained 14 kets of drugs.

The staff of the establishment immediately reported the fact to the Public Ministry and the National Police, in order to carry out the preparation of minutes. and apply the field test to the seized substance.

In parallel, the Penitentiary Technical Council ordered the transfer of the inmate to the meditation area while the corresponding investigations progress.

The arrested man is serving a sentence for illicit drug traffickingand the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) reiterated its commitment to strengthening security and internal control to prevent the entry and circulation of prohibited substances within prison facilities.
