The Interprovincial soccer match, controlled by the Cruceña Soccer Association (ACF), has a new qualifier: San Juan. The orange team in which well-known people like Darwin Ríos and Marcos Ovejero play, was crowned champion of the Northern Satellite League.
In the final played this Sunday, they won 4-0 over Buena Fe, with three goals from Ríos who at some point played in Guabirá, and other teams, and with one from Ovejero, who also knows the Professional Division, after being champion in Always Ready and Sports Boys.
With the title achieved, San Juan registered its name in the Interprovincial, which also classifies teams from the integrated north, from the valleys of Santa Cruz and from Chiquitania and that play in a league whose first three are registered for the Simón Bolívar 2025.
Entering this tournament allows you to dream of promotion to the Professional Division, even though the road ahead is long and difficult. San Juan has already scored the first and joins Zorros who were crowned champions of the Apertura. But San Juan’s bet is relevant.
The president of this club is Jorge Pontons Paz and the coach is Junior Pontons. The objective of assembling the squad is to ensure the Simón Bolívar classification and then strengthen the project to move forward.
For several years now, the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) has opted to involve provincial teams. In the qualifying phase, great expectations arise, especially in the host towns. It happened in Pailón and other towns.
