San Francisco and CAI tie in the Chorrera derby

In a match full of emotions, Club Atlético Independiente (CAI) and San Francisco drew two goals at the start of date 3 of the 2023 Opening Tournament of the Panamanian Soccer League.

Carlos Small’s dressing room goal at minute 2′ into the match gave CAI the lead, but the monks would react almost immediately with Jhamal Rodríguez’s score.

In the second half once again the Vikings took the lead at minute 76′ Angel Valverde but just a few minutes from the end San Francisco achieved the final tie with the score by Carlos Rojas.

Both teams add a point and San Francisco is left with 5 units, while CAI has 4.

Plaza Amador receives Alianza at 4:00 pm at the Javier Cruz stadium, while at Los Milagros stadium Herrera FC faces Club Deportivo Universitario from 6:15 pm. and at the Rommel Fernández stadium, Tauro FC faces Club Deportivo del Este at 8:30 p.m.

Matchday 3 ends on Sunday, January 29, with the matches between Árabe Unido and Sporting San Miguelito starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Armando Dely Valdés stadium, while Atlético Chiriquí faces Umecit at 6:15 p.m. at the San Cristobal stadium.
