With 46 floors and several special features, This Thursday, the businessman and politician Samuel Doria Medina inaugurated the tallest building in Bolivia that was built during the last four years. “I hope I have given the city where I was born a reason to be proud”, said the businessman in his speech.
“We have combined our knowledge of Bolivian needs and tastes, the most advanced construction technologiesthe best materials and our commitment to the environment, to erect this building, which has given direct and indirect employment to 2,600 people”, declared the businessman.
The building It was built in the residential zone Sur from the seat of Government, it has 17 floors of offices; 17 floors of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, it also has six floors -the initial ones- of lobbies, shops and restaurants, and six floors of parking lots. 404 vehicles can park simultaneously in these.
Its about first building that has carried out soil studies up to 70 meters below of the surface, with the aim of guaranteeing the firm support of its million tons of weight. And it is one of the few earthquake-resistant buildings.
For its sustainability, this tower will receive the Leadership certification in Energy & Environmental Design, granted by the United States Green Building Council. This accredits it as a building that cares for the environment.
A building of these proportions and characteristics is managed with the Building Management System, a computerized control systemalso includes advanced security systems, such as facial recognition of the people authorized to enter each area.
