Samsung Electronics meets with ministers from the Latin American region in Seoul

The president of Samsung Electronics, for the mobile division, TM Roh, met with Carmen Gisela Vergara, executive director of the Authority for the Attraction of Investments and Promotion of Exports of the Republic of Panama (PROPANAMA) in Seoul South Korea, to share the main activities of the technology company, future innovative trends in education and research.

During the meeting, Samsung requested support for Busan, as a candidate city for the 2030 World Expo. The objective of the visit to Korea is to strengthen relations with this Asian country, which stands out for its great leadership in technology development.

The meeting was also represented by: Honduras through Eduardo Enrique Reina, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rafael Orlando Gómez Del Giudice, Vice Minister of Energy of the Dominican Republic; Arnoldo André, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica, and Fabrizio Mena Undersecretary of Innovation of El Salvador

The authorities of the region were received at the global offices of Samsung Electronics by the presidents JaeSeung Lee (Consumer Electronics Division) and TM Roh (Mobile Division)

Expo 2030 is a world fair proposed to be held in 2030, bringing together global exhibitions to showcase trends in the technology, arts and commerce industry. Social problems that affect the entire world will also be discussed, such as: climate change, the digital divide and inequality, but, above all, new technology development projects.
