The former president of Colombia, Ernesto Samper, expressed his rejection of the interference of the United States in the Caribbean, by carrying out bombings and extrajudicial executions against vessels supposedly linked to drug trafficking.
In his account on X, Samper questioned that President Donald Trump maintains a contradictory policy regarding the issue in the Gaza Strip and the situation in the Caribbean Sea.
It is contradictory that President Trump seeks peace to stop Israel’s genocide in Gaza, while unleashing a war in the Caribbean with disproportionate bombings and extrajudicial executions against alleged vessels linked to drug trafficking.

“It is contradictory that President Trump seeks peace to stop Israel’s genocide in Gaza, while unleashing a war in the Caribbean with disproportionate bombings and extrajudicial executions against alleged vessels linked to drug trafficking,” he wrote.
“We all know that only 8% of drug trafficking to the United States passes through the Caribbean, while the majority does so through the Pacific,” he said.
“These military operations, in addition to being unjustified, violate the international law of the sea and the due process of the people who have been practically massacred,” he stressed.
