Salvador: Pelourinho has 150 attractions during Carnival; check schedule

Far from the large blocks that make millions of people revel in the electric trio circuits in Salvador, Pelourinho, in the capital’s Historic Center, will be the stage for national attractions and various events that form Bahian culture. Salvador: Pelourinho has 150 attractions during Carnival; check schedule

With around 150 attractions and more than 250 hours of music, Pelourinho will have a free program, until the 17th, with events between Largos do Pelourinho, Pedro Archanjo, Tereza Batista, Quincas Berro D’Água and Praça das Artes Mestre Neguinho do Samba.

Samba, axé, rap, reggae, Bahian guitar, children’s dances and collaborative meetings occupy these spaces in different modalities. There will be dance performances, orchestras, bands, DJs and performances, as well as microtrios and nanotrios, which are vehicles driven by people or powered by pedals.

Renowned names and revelations in Brazilian music will also perform at Pelô. Larissa Luz, Majur, Os Garotin, Filhos de Jorge, Afrocidade, Mariene de Castro, Nelson Rufino, Chico César and Luedji Luna are among the attractions.

This Friday (13), Bahians Rachel Reis, Os Gilsons, Márcia Freire, Tonho Matéria and Ganhadeiras de Itapuã, among others, will take to the stage. From 5pm this Friday, at least six musical acts will take part in traveling processions through the streets of Pelourinho.
