Salvador Merma on fertilizer crisis: "We feel betrayed by the president"

For President it has betrayed farmers nationwide. This after the fertilizer crisis. One of the claims is that agriculture be declared in emergency.

“It is a strike of various organizations united in Cusco, we are 13 organizations such as the Users’ Board, Fenutsa, the Cusco Medical Federation, the National Assembly of Cusco, among others. We are asking for a state of emergency to be declared in agriculture at the national level because unfortunately the agricultural sector is forgotten by the State. After the launch of the second agrarian reform in Cusco, 9 axes were going to be implemented, which had been discussed as a result of the strike on April 18 and 19. We have raised our demands in the technical tables, those technical tables were not attended by the Executive. This has meant one more deception on the part of the Executive. We feel betrayed by the President of the Republic and the Ministers of State”indicated.

The installation of a petrochemical plant in Cusco for the production of fertilizers because the state has not provided us with fertilizers, we do not know when it will arrive, the agricultural campaign has failed”he added.
