The former prime minister of Martín Vizcarra thus refuted the three constitutional accusations against him for the dissolution of the Congress of the Republic on September 30, 2019.
That day, the then premier appeared before the Plenary Session of Parliament to raise a question of confidence aimed – as he said – at holding a transparent election of the members of the Constitutional Court.

Given the refusal of the Plenary to debate its project, the refusal to a second question of confidence became effective, leading to the closure of the Legislative Assembly.
“That is no longer legally under discussion, this matter was raised to the Constitutional Court and a ruling from January 2020 resolved that both the question of trust, which I presented on behalf of the Council of Ministers, and the dissolution of Congress happened under the framework of the Constitution,” said Del Solar.
At another time, the former chief of staff ruled out participating in Peruvian politics again.
“I am very grateful to have been able to serve my country. It has taken me a lot to reintegrate into my artistic activity, in which I have more than 30 years and it is where I want to continue. I have no plans to participate in politics, I do not plan to be a candidate. , but I also do not intend to remain silent as a citizen when my rights are affected,” he commented.
