Rando is the General Director of Coordination of the MSP and she had an outstanding performance during the pandemic as well as in the coordination with ministries of health of the countries of the region. Professionally she is an anesthesiologist and has a Master of Public Health (MSc PH, Economic Stream) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in London. She had several academic positions of teaching role in the Faculty of Medicine and Engineering, she was Associate Professor and Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Professor of Physiopathology and Biomedical Engineering. She is a member of the Latin American Confederation of Anesthesiology-CLASA (member of the Transplant Committee) and a member of the Uruguayan Society of Anesthesiology.
