Financing for the purchase of new and used vehicles in Brazil grew 12.4% in November, according to a survey by B3 (Brazilian Stock Exchange), compared to the same period last year. However, there was a drop of 9.7% compared to the figures from October this year.
In the year to November, financed vehicle sales totaled 6.5 million units. An increase of 21.8% compared to the same 11 months in 2023, which adds up to approximately 1.1 million more vehicles sold.
The drop in relation to October can be explained, according to Gustavo de Oliveira Ferro, planning and market intelligence manager at B3, due to the four fewer business days that the month had. In November, financing reached 31,800 units.
In comparisons between November this year and the same month in 2023, the biggest increase in financing was with light vehicles (12.4%), with heavy vehicles the growth was 0.6% and, finally, the segment of motorcycles increased 15.1%.
