Sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles, such as pickup trucks and vans, showed a positive performance in 2025, with growth of 2.58% compared to 2024. In total, 2,549,462 units were registered. The balance was released this Tuesday (13), in São Paulo, by the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution (Fenabrave).
Adding the sales of buses and trucks to that of light commercial vehicles, the result was also positive, with the registration of 2,689,179 units, which represented an increase of 2.08% compared to 2024.
When considering the registration of all segments combined (cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, road equipment and other vehicles), growth was 8.02% in the period, with 5,124,544 units sold.
December
In December, sales of cars and light commercial vehicles grew 17.59% compared to November and 9.60% compared to December 2024, totaling 267,117 registered units.
Considering the registration of all segments in December, the sector showed growth of 12.28% compared to November and 14.97% compared to December 2024, totaling 492,468 vehicles.
