Sales of new vehicles, considering only cars and light commercial vehicles (pickups and vans), had a positive performance in 2024, with growth of 14.02% compared to 2023. In total, 2,484,740 units were registered.
The information was released today (8), in São Paulo, by the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution (Fenabrave).
Adding the sales of buses and trucks to that of light commercial vehicles, the result was also positive, with the registration of 2,634,514 units, an increase of 14.15% compared to 2023.
When considering the registration of all segments combined (cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, road equipment and other vehicles), growth was 15.49% in the period, with 4,744,179 units sold.
For 2025, Fenabrave expects growth of 7% in total, considering all segments combined.
December
In December, sales of cars and light commercial vehicles expanded by 1.04% compared to November and 3.01% compared to December 2023, totaling 243,691 registered units.
In total across all segments, there was an increase of 2.11% compared to November and 7.11% compared to December 2023, totaling 428,415 units.
