After several days of suspense due to the judicial decision against Yenifer Paredes, Judge Johnny Gómez Balboa ordered 30 months of preventive detention for the sister-in-law of the President of the Republic. After this, the president assured that this situation has not weakened him, according to the minister Alexander Salas.
The head of Labor and Employment Promotion said that the head of state has communicated to his ministerial cabinet that the court order against Lilia Paredes’ sister has strengthened him, since he considers himself a person who “has grown up in adversity.”
“I can assure you, because I have had the president today in front with several ministers. The president is very strengthened by this situation. Every day that passes and these situations happen, he gets stronger. He is strengthened and shows us and has told us that he is a citizen who has grown in adversity, who has grown in the midst of pain, in the midst of hunger and that these situations do not weaken him; on the contrary, they strengthen it more, ”he stated in RPP.
Appeal?
the job owner, Alexander Salas, hinted that the defense of Yenifer Paredes Navarro would go —in the next few days— to a second instance to seek reconsideration the 30-month preventive detention issued against the sister-in-law of Castillo Terrones by the Judiciary.
“This is a decision that the judge has made. It is a decision that, I understand, the technical defense of Miss Paredes will have to appeal; and, in a few days and in a few weeks, she will be seeing this appeal in a courtroom. The fact that he has been given 30 months of preventive detention does not mean that there is not a second instance that can review it and, suddenly, can reverse it, “ added the former minister of Culture.
The 30 months of preventive detention were also imposed on the mayor of Anguía, Nenil Medina Guerrero, for being involved in a tax investigation where he is accused of being part of a criminal organization who would lead Peter Castle.
