Unemployment rate remains stable in the first quarter, points out IBGE

The median readjustment of salaries obtained in salary negotiations in June is 12%, compared to the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) accumulated of 11.9%. In May, the median readjustment was 12.3%, according to the monthly bulletin of the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe) Salariómetro – Labor Market and Collective Bargaining.Salary readjustments by negotiations, in June, reach 12%

According to the data, in June the number of tabulated collective agreements was greater in relation to collective agreements, with the proportion of readjustments above the INPC remaining at 50%. This rate should decrease, with the availability of more collective agreements, according to Fipe.

In May, the proportion of readjustments above the INPC was 17.4%, and in the last 12 months, 16.2%.

The consolidated real readjustment this year, which had 5,625 negotiations, was, so far, without variation, according to the data. According to Fipe’s analyses, the INPC forecast for the 2nd semester will still be close to double digits, leaving little room for salary readjustments above inflation.
