Salary increase will be discussed next Monday

The president of the Autonomous Confederation of Clasistas Trade Unions (CASC), Gabriel del Riohopes that by next Monday at the meeting of the National Wage Committee (CNS) an agreement will be reached to increase the salary from the workers.

“We hope that next Monday we will have a solution to the salary problem. We are asking, as you know, 35%,” Del Río reiterated in his participation in the presentation of the priorities of the Judiciary for this 2023.

Regarding the approach of the Minister of JobLuis de Camps, on a pact that allows workers’ salaries to be adjusted year after year according to inflation, the cost of living and productivity, said he agreed.

“We are sure that if we do this, in the long run we can truly achieve what the Central Bank says for the first quintile, which has not yet been achieved,” added the trade unionist.

Gabriel del Río also indicated that he is asking the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, to review the minimum wage for state workers, which is around 10,000 pesos, as well as pensioners.

“That is a proposal for dialogue (the increase of 35%). We believe in dialogue, in agreement,” he considered.
