The Federation of UASD professors (Faprouasd) announced this Thursday that the University Council approved a salary increase 15 percent at their most recent meeting.
The union made the announcement through its social networks.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MescyT), Franklin Garcia Ferminconfirmed the information, through a message he posted on Twitter, in which he says that the increase will also be for active and retired servers of the UASD.
The Executive Committee of the union that groups the professors of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) is credited with achieving this increase.
This announcement comes hours after the rector of the academy, Editrudis Beltrán, received a visit from the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, and will highlight the contributions of the Executive Power to the Primacy of America.
“Reiterating our commitment to the country’s higher education, we continue to work to optimize this America’s First Academy, with the support of the Executive Power,” says a message posted on the Twitter account of the UASD.
