He added that “those who have been released so far must appear every 15 days, which generates anguish and anxiety, because they feel that the measure can be reversed, in addition to forcing them to sign a paper in which they say that they cannot have political contact.” nor testify about his case, which are conditions of very strong coercion.
He stated that no prosecutor from the Public Ministry has received or attended to the relatives of the political prisoners. Finally, he called on the government to release all political prisoners and respect their integrity and due process, as well as their families, many of whom must travel from other regions of the country to visit those who remain in prisons such as Tocorón, Yare and The Rodeo.
