Saime calls national day for renewal of ID cards without prior appointment

He Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Immigration (Saime) reported that between January 20 and 23, a special attention day will be held in all its offices nationwide.

Through its social networks, the entity reported “that from January 20 to 23, an Identity Card Renewal Day WITHOUT APPOINTMENT for those over 18 years of age will be held in all the offices of the identifying entity”, with the aim of facilitating access to the identity document for citizens who require its update, without the need to schedule a prior appointment.

Additionally, the organization indicated that “in the same way, Data Verification will be carried out for Venezuelan and naturalized citizens, whose ID range is from 22 million.”

To carry out this process, the Saime He explained that the necessary requirements are: “Venezuelans: Simple copy of the Birth Certificate. Naturalized: Copy of the Certificate of Naturalization or Official Gazette.”

Attention to the public during this special day will be offered between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, in accordance with what is established by the entity.

Likewise, the statement clarifies that “if you obtained your identity document in the last six (6) months, it will NOT be possible to renew your Identity Card.” In the event of theft, robbery or loss, a report will be required to be filed with the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (CICPC).
