Sáez Llorens recommends not combining a vaccine that has a live virus with anticovid because it can interfere with immunity

The doctor reiterated that people over 50 years of age and with some risk condition should go to apply their booster dose.

The pediatrician and infectologist, Xavier Sáez Llorens, recommended that any vaccine that has a live virus such as measles, rubella, chickenpox, yellow fever, it is better not to combine it with the others in the scheme, including that of Covid-19, since it could have interference in the immune response.

He explained that, in these cases, it is preferred to defer from 14 to 28 days before or after the Covid-19 vaccination. “With the other vaccines it can be administered, including the flu or influenza.

The doctor reiterated that people over 50 years of age and with some risk condition should go to apply their booster dose, since it has been seen that this dose puts them in a situation of great advantage compared to Covid-19.
