Sacks with expired food seized in Huancayo distributor

In an unexpected operation organized by the State Security Police, a total of 35 sacks of food were removed that represent a risk to public health as they do not have a health record and are expired. The Bromatology Unit of the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo (MPH) sanctioned 4,600 soles and temporary closure for general unhealthiness to these establishments that fail to comply with these health standards.

In the hours of yesterday morning, after a follow-up carried out by the Police, the Ampaco SA distributor was intervened to verify the health conditions of the interiors.

The Crime Prevention Prosecutor’s Office also participated in the multisectoral operation, which confirmed serious deficiencies within the commercial premises.

“We entered the establishment located in the Ica extension, unsanitary conditions were discovered in the store of this establishment. 10 sacks of food such as noodles, milk, oil and others in terrible condition were removed.

Likewise, there were 25 bags of rice of 50 kilos, which did not have the respective labeling”, said the person in charge of Bromatology, Jesús Vila Retamozo. The Prosecutor’s Office verified the products for their elimination
