Sabag Montiel and his girlfriend planned to rent an apartment in front of Cristina’s house

Sabag Montiel and his girlfriend planned to rent an apartment in front of Cristina's house

The couple wanted to rent an apartment across from the vice president’s house.

The man who tried to assassinate Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Fernando André Sabag Montiel, and his girlfriend Brenda Uliarte they planned to rent an apartment in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta that would allow them a clear view of the property of the two-time president of the Nation, judicial sources confirmed to Télam today.

The information was detected on the cell phone of the detainee Uliarte and arises from audio messages that were sent with the aggressorwhom he also accompanied to the Juncal and Uruguay area on September 1 last when they tried to shoot Fernández de Kirchner in the head.

in the cause there is a third detainee -Agustina Díaz- who, according to the judicial investigation, reproached Uliarte through text messages that the attack had gone wrong and recommended that he get rid of his cell phone to hide any incriminating evidence.

Télam was able to find out from reliable sources that Díaz spoke with Uliarte the days before the attempted attack about the possible mechanics to carry out the assassination of Vice President Fernández de Kirchner.

The third defendant in the case also reproached Uliarte, with insults, that he had sent Sabag Montiel to carry out the assassination and he wondered if it was because he was nervous that he had not succeeded.

The information that compromised Díaz to the point that his arrest was ordered came from Uliarte’s cell phone, who had it scheduled as “Love of my life” and used to share expressions of hate, according to what the sources of the investigation detailed to this agency.

Díaz’s arrest occurred in the Buenos Aires party of San Miguelwithin the framework of a series of operations ordered by federal judge María Eugenia Capuchetti and carried out by the Airport Security Police (PSA).

In the raid that led to the arrest Three cell phones were seized, of which only one was active, reported the sources consulted.

The PSA also carried out two other raids on Monday night, one in the province of Buenos Aires and the other in the city of Buenos Aires, in which cell phones, notebooks, pen drives and other devices that are already being subjected to expertise.

One of those raids was at the home of a trusted man of Uliarte, with whom he maintained intense communications and who the investigators believe may have helped her try to escape: they seized his cell phone and other items to advance with that line of investigation.

After these actions, Judge Capuchetti ordered the lifting of the summary secrecy, while at this time the magistrate is expected to set a hearing for the investigation of the new detainee, which according to the Criminal Procedure Code must occur within 24 hours of her arrest, a term that can be extended for another 24 hours.

It was speculated that the magistrate would use that extension while waiting for all the information contained in the electronic devices seized in the raid on Díaz’s house to be obtained.

The official defender Juan Martín Hermida was notified this afternoon of his appointment to defend the new detainee and decided to meet with her: she will assume her defense if “opposing interests” do not arise with the representation of Sabag Montiel, whom she already defends in this case.

On the other hand, it was expected that the magistrate summoned Sabag Montiel and Uliarte to expand their investigation to show them the new evidence included in the file, among which the messages obtained from the phone of the girlfriend of the main accused of the attack that confirm that the September 1 was not the first assassination attempt against the Vice President.

Research sources consulted by this agency confirmed that the messages give an account of an attempted attack that occurred on August 27during the night in which the Vice President spoke to the militancy stationed in the area of Juncal and Uruguay streets, where the building where the head of the Senate lives is located.

“No, it’s not that she realizes, the issue is that there is a C5N camera, and there are few people, and people are leaving, and that is the moment, now it is late, that is, it is 12 o’clock and she She left at that time, and it was at that time, that is, the stage was with her because they would have followed her,” says one of the messages that Uliarte received from Sabag Montiel.

“Do you understand? Then we are going to see on TV to see what happened because when she got in, they followed her and it should have been there,” says another message detected by the justice system.

In another communication, Sabag Montiel tells Uliarte: “No, I already got inside and the stage, the amphitheater was taken out. I touched (the governor of Buenos Aires) Axel Kicillof on the back and he got into a Toyota Etios, eh, and he left, a quilombo. She’s upstairs but I don’t think she’ll come out, so she’s already gone, leave, I’m going there, stay there. Don’t bring anything.”

The information about the intention to rent an apartment in the vicinity of Cristina Kirchner’s home comes from the phone of the accused herself and opens up a new question for the investigators: Who financed the undertakings of this criminal gang that had time to do intelligence tasks? and looking to rent a home in Recoleta?
