The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, described as positive that the United States begins to investigate the theft of the Agency for International Development (USAID) of the fugitive of Justice Juan Guaidó. He also recalled that the Public Ministry has 29 open causes against Guaidó and hopes that the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) activate the red alert requested in 2023.
Saab gave details of the resources he received, “literally, one billion dollars of ‘humanitarian aid’ managed between 2018 and 2020 were stolen to ‘help’ Venezuelan migrants.” He said that the money assigned by the USAID to Guaidó only executed 2%.
He showed his desire to materialize the red alert against the fugitive of Venezuelan justice. “It is active (the red alert), we only wait for Interpol’s approval and we consider it a good opportunity,” he said.
The highest authority of the Public Ministry assured that it is an “International Pranato”, about the mafia headed by Guaidó where only in the monomers were “19 billion dollars stole”.
It should also be remembered that the MP holder recently reported the United States request for this same case.
He explained that “we obviously request the US authority, based on bilateral cooperation, that the collections of all this investigation that they themselves, in US territory, have advanced so that we handle that information in detail and act in the terms established by the Constitution and the Law of Venezuela ”.
He recalled that in 2023, the MP initiated an investigation and subsequently issued an arrest warrant against the opposition leader Juan Guaidó, for the theft of the Citgo company. Among the imputed crimes are: betrayal of the homeland, suspension of functions, benefit or distraction of public money, values or goods, legitimacy of capital and association.
