The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, held a meeting on Monday with the relatives of Ariadna Parra, who was murdered on May 12 by her ex-boyfriend in La Vega, Caracas.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, William Saab explained that the meeting was held at the headquarters of the Public Ministry, where he confirmed to the victim’s relatives that he will work with the entire team of the institution to do justice.
“TODAY meeting at the headquarters of the Public Ministry with the teacher Jermaris Oliveros #mother of Ariadna Jocxybel Parra Oliveros victim of aggravated #femicide: ratifying her, together with our @MinpublicoVEN team, the will to do #Justice in this unfortunate event,” he wrote in the social network.
This weekend the Public Ministry charged Francisco Saltron Camacaro with the Parra femicide.
Saab specified that they requested a preventive measure of deprivation of liberty, which was already agreed, against Saltron Camacaro.
Ariadna Joxcibel Parra, 16, was a volleyball athlete who was stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend.
For this crime, this Sunday, hundreds of women from the Caracas parish demonstrated on the main avenue of La India to demand justice for the murder of the Venezuelan athlete.
The Head of Government of the Capital District, Nahúm Fernández, was present at the scene, stating that all the necessary mechanisms will be activated to guarantee justice.
