According to Saab, the review of the measures “has family reunification as its center, consolidating the commitment of Venezuelan Institutions to Peace, Justice and Human Rights.”

Saab’s announcement comes four days after President Nicolás Maduro denounced that there is a “campaign to raise awareness” in society about those detained after the electoral protests. That same day he urged the Public Ministry and the Venezuelan courts to “rectify” if there is any case it should be “reviewed.”
