The Budget, Financial Balance and Public Sector Debt Law for Fiscal Year 2025 was approved by the Congress of the Republic yesterday, Saturday, night.
With 87 votes in favor, 22 against and 4 abstentions, the green light was given to the replacement text of the opinion of said law to authorize the execution of more than S/ 250 billion for next year.
According to parliamentary rules, a second vote is not required. The exact amount amounts to 251,801’045,185 soles4.5% more compared to the initial opening budget for the year 2024.
The initiative has prioritized, by 2025, the education, health, sanitation and citizen security sectors. For example, the first has an increase of 12% compared to this year.
This approval of Budget for the Public Sector 2025 had the participation of the prime minister, Gustavo Adrianzenand the Minister of Economy, José Arista, in Congress.
