The congresswoman of the caucus of Cambio Democrático Ruth Luque stated that she was disappointed in the choice she made during the 2021 presidential elections, where she opted for the opposite option to that of Keiko Fujimori. Decision that helped peter castle come to the presidency.
However, the congresswoman considered that the situation of current political crisis does not correspond only to the Executive.
“Nor can we deny that on the part of Congress they have left, from day one, denying the electoral results, generating vacancies at all times and contributing to the wear and tear of this Government”indicated the spokeswoman for the Cambio Democrático party, in an interview for Canal N.

The parliamentarian declared not feel represented by the government of the president Peter Castle. Luque indicated that, although we are in a leftist government —which has set an agenda with a second agrarian reform in between, the massification of gas, the formation of responsible mining and agricultural growth—, none of these issues have been raised correctly and, therefore, they have not advanced at all.
The legislator also mentioned that a early elections would only be conceivable by his person as long as the pertinent structural reforms have been previously carried out in the government apparatus.
In this sense, Luque ruled out having any interest in remaining in his seat and declared that he would leave his position in Congress as long as said change is the one required to recover the political stability of the country.
