Russian-Ukrainian negotiations resumed via videoconference


The Russian negotiator published three photos of these discussions, which on the Moscow side are taking place in an office of the presidential administration.

Russian-Ukrainian negotiations to try to end the conflict in Ukraine resumed on Friday, according to the Kremlin’s chief negotiator, Vladimir Medinski.

“We continue negotiations by videoconference. Our positions on Crimea and Donbas have not changed,” Medinski said on Telegram, referring to two Ukrainian regions, one annexed by Russia in 2014 and the other partially under the control of pro-Russian separatists.

The Russian negotiator published three photos of these discussions, which on the Moscow side are taking place in an office of the presidential administration.

Russia must respond to a series of Ukrainian proposals with a view to an agreement. kyiv proposes Ukraine’s neutrality and renounce joining NATO, in exchange for other countries guaranteeing its security against Russia.

It also proposes negotiations to resolve the status of the Ukrainian Donbas and Crimea.
