Russian radical proposes that Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela join their troops to war against Ukraine

Russian journalist Vladimír Solovyov proposed this Thursday the creation of an “international coalition” that includes “combatants” from Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela to participate in the attacks carried out by President Vladimir Putin against Ukraine after the invasion carried out at the beginning of this year.

Solovyov, known as a Russian radical, proposed on open television that soldiers from these countries settle in the Donetsk region to fight in support of Russia, just as it happens with foreigners who support the Ukrainians. The presenter asked Moscow not to stop the intentions of fighters from these countries to form this international alliance and “fight” against Ukraine.

“There are units in Syria that are very well trained by us, there are people in Africa who support us, there is Venezuela, there is Nicaragua, there is Cuba, there is Iran and North Korea. If volunteers from all over the world go and fight in Donetsk, why shouldn’t we give them the opportunity to organize and create an international body? », He suggested in the prime program of Russia-1 channel.

“I also consider it necessary that we form an international coalition. I don’t understand why the Americans, even if they are going to fight against Grenada, always improvise an international coalition. Why do we deny ourselves the pleasure?” Solovyov justified.

In June of this year, the Nicaraguan regime authorized the entry of troops, ships and aircraft of the Russian Army to the Central American country that maintains close relations with the European nation.

Daniel Ortega also authorized the entry, on a rotating basis, of 80 Russian soldiers to participate with the elite corps of the Nicaraguan Army “in an exchange of experiences and training exercise in humanitarian aid operations.” The period of stay in Nicaragua was established from July 1 to December 31, 2022.

In the initiative, Ortega explained that “year after year, the Nicaraguan Army carries out humanitarian exercises with other armies and armed forces,” including those of Cuba, the United States, Mexico, Russia and Venezuela, in order to improve the technical quality and professional of the Nicaraguan military.

Nicaragua is one of the few countries, along with Venezuela and the small island states of Nauru and Tuvalu, that have joined Russia in recognizing the independence of the breakaway Georgian regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and that have received senior Russian officials since Moscow invaded Ukraine. In addition, at the end of 2020, Nicaragua established a consulate in Crimea, a Ukrainian territory annexed to Russia, which caused the rejection of Ukraine.
