The Kremlin avoided confirming or denying the recent statements of Donald Trump On a telephone conversation with Russian president Vladimir Putin, in which they would have talked about the war in Ukraine.
“I can’t even confirm or deny it,” said the Russian presidency spokesman Dmitri Peskov, to the agency on Sunday Interfax.

Peskov explained that “as the Washington administration advances in its performance, many diverse communication channels are established, and of course, due to the multiplicity of these communications, I might not be personally aware of something.”
The Trump eve announced in an interview with the newspaper New York Post that he had spoken with Putin, and pointed out that the Russian president “wants people to stop dying.”
He added that it is “better not to say” how many times he has spoken with his Russian counterpart, but said he has “a good relationship” with him.
Trump also expressed his hope that the war ends “quickly.” So far Moscow has denied any type of conversation.
At the end of January, Putin said he was “ready” to address with Trump negotiations on the Ukraine theme, a country on which an invasion began more than three years ago.
The Kremlin referred to the chain CNN Earlier this week that there had been no “serious discussions” on a possible meeting between Trump and Putin.
