Russia will send modern firefighting equipment to Cuba

The Russian Emergencies Ministry will send a group of modern airport fire equipment to Cuba to renovate the Russian-Cuban center for training firefighters and rescuers in Havana.

The Russian authorities, public Sputnik, will support the island with new vehicles to put out the fire with foam. In addition, they will send firefighting equipment for airports, tank trucks and a wide list of specialized implements.

The Russian-Cuban center, which will celebrate a decade of creation in 2024, will now increase its response capacity for emergency situations, said the Emergencies Minister, Alexandr Kurenkov, about the project that has trained experts from 17 countries in these 9 years of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Latin Press points out that the technical equipment of the center was used to put out the powerful fire that occurred in the Supertanker Base of the city of Matanzas in August 2022.
