According to the outlet, the Vice President of the Russian Government, Dimitri Chernishenko, announced the reestablishment of operations during the development in Havana of the XX Intergovernmental Commission between the two countries, which concluded this Friday.

Direct travel between the two nations has been suspended since March 2022 due to the sanctions imposed on Moscow after the invasion of Ukraine, accompanied by the cancellation of flights.
As a consequence, trips to Havana require connections in other cities, such as Istanbul, Turkey.
